Audition invitation

When we decided who we wanted to audition for our film we realsied we have to write a formal invitation for them to come and auadition. The purpose of this is to show some professionalism to the actors we want to use, if the actors see that we are taking the audition seriously they are more likely to turn up, try to get the part, take us more seriously thus taking direction better and do as well as possibly if we chose them. We decided to write two invitations, one for the male part and one for the female part this is because the two auditions would be very different. The male one would have to tell them that there would be a script to read from and that they would need to take direction as to how they say the extract and to get permission from them to be filmed. The female invitation will only need to ask permission for a picture to be taken in various ways.

Male invitation
We would like to invite you to come and take part in an audition for our media film. It is a psychological thriller film and if you are sucessful in your audition we will need you to commit to an attached filming schedual. The part you are auditioning for is the character of Harry, he is the main character of the film and you will have to be able to play a character with mental illness and who has some mental issues. When you come for the audition we will give you a small extract from our script to read on camera, we will need to see you on camera so we can see how you look on camera and how you will fit within our framing. We will ask you to say the extract in a number of different ways so we can see how you take direction and also to help us decide how we want the lines to be delivered. If you are happy to take part in our audition then come up to the media suite at lunchtime on thursday.

Female invitation
We would like to invite you to come and take part in an audition for our media film. We are making a psychological thriller film and if you are sucessful in your audition you will be playing the part of Penny who is the subject of Harry's obsession. We will only need to take a picture of you because for the opening you will only be seen for a few seconds in the opening. Our main aim for your audition is to find an actoress with the right look. If you are happy to take part in our audition please come up to the media suite at lunch time on thursday.
